‘Dunki’ is a regional pronunciation of donkey, originated from a Punjabi idiom that means “hopping from one place to another”.
Dunki is a popular but illegal immigration technique used to enter countries like the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.
The film Dunki will depict how people take the difficult route to settle in the ‘first world’ countries with the aim to have a better life.
