Manoj Kumar Sharma joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 2005 and is an officer from the Maharashtra cadre. After the release of the biopic 12th Fail, which documented his journey to become an IPS officer, he made headlines in October.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is the producer, writer, and director of the Hindi-language biographical trouble film 12th Fail, which is set to release in 2023. 

It depends on Anurag Pathak’s 2019 non-fiction book of the same name, which tells the true story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, an Indian Police Service officer who overcomes abject poverty to become an officer.

Vikrant Massey plays the title role in the movie, in addition to Medha Shankar, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee. 

12th Fail, which was released in theaters on October 27, 2023, earned positive reviews and became a sleeper hit, making over ₹66 crore US$8.3 million globally on a ₹20 crore US$2.5 million price range.

Early Life of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma 

Manoj Sharma, an IPS officer, was born on July 3, 1975, in Bilgram, a tiny town in the Madhya Pradesh state’s Morena district. He is 5 feet 9 inches tall. He weighs sixty-five kilograms. He is a successful IPS officer who is 49 years old. 

Shri Ramveer Sharma was the name of his farmer father. In Manoj Sharma’s life, his mother has been a significant influence. He has helped him at every turn throughout his life. His birth family was not wealthy. He therefore had to put up a lot of effort.

After completing his education at his neighborhood school, Manoj Sharma easily passed the eighth grade. After that, he managed to cheat his way through the ninth and tenth exams. 

He then enrolled in the Maharani Lakshmi Bai Government College of Excellence in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and managed to pass the exams for the eleventh grade there as well.    

However, the SDM visited his exam center to make sure, so he was unable to decline when the 12th exam was held. And he sat there all the while.

And every student at that center was unsuccessful. Because the teachers used the method to have us duplicate everything and even write the answers in that school.

After cheating in the 12th exams, All pupils fail when DSP Dushyant Singh stops lying. DSP Dushyant helps Manoj save his brother and counsels him to give up cheating. After a year, Manoj gets all A’s on his exams and goes on to get a B.A. in Hindi and History so he can become a DSP. 

However, his goal to become a DSP is dashed when the government decides to cancel the MPPSC assessments for three years. 

Manoj Kumar Sharma’s Struggle to Become an IPS Officer 

Manoj Kumar Sharma struggled and worked hard to pass the Civil Services exam, but he was unsuccessful on his first, second, and third attempts. Shraddha Joshi, who is seeking the UKPSC, wins his heart. 

Manoj is moved to Gauri Bhaiya’s house, where he is told to concentrate on his educational pursuits. Nevertheless, he persisted in trying and worked hard, passing the UPSC KA exam on his fourth try. and obtaining the 121st All India rank After clearing the UKPSC, he and Shraddha both got appointed Deputy Collectors. 

Having failed every test, Pritam is envious of Manoj and tries to talk his father into applying to the UPSC. After pursuing his dream, Manoj finally achieves his goal of becoming an IPS officer and gets married in front of his loved ones. At present Manoj Kumar Sharma is working on the post of Additional Commissioner in Mumbai Police.

Manoj Kumar Sharma has made numerous significant contributions to the Indian Police Service since 2005. He gained a great deal of respect by managing protests and battling the Naxals. 

He was employed by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) as a Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and then by the Mumbai Police as an Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP). He went above and beyond to protect his nation.
